What to do:
Working in pairs is effective at times.
Certain pairings can compliment each other in different ways.
You may pair students together in many ways.
- SEN/D with GNT
- BESD with role model
- Same ability students
I have used this strategy I discussed with Sir Tim Brighouse that has been seen in many primary schools.
Give students partners for different times? Sections? Activities? of the lesson.
- Pair 1- first 20 mins/Starter
- Pair 2- middle 20 mins/Main
- Pair 30- final 20 mins/Plenary
