Structure Slips

Resources:
Make your own structure slips, or here are some examples by searching here!
What to do:
@MrLockyer has come up with a simply fantastic way to get students to think about the structure of their writing. He has lots of other ideas in his brilliant book, 100 ideas for Primary School teachers. Click here to purchase!
Get them to stick a strip of paper in the margin of their books and ask them to write next to the corresponding box, in the space allocated too.

Here @JiveSpin is using the idea for History.Structure Strips – to maintain focus with structure.
