Resources: Various links shared below. What to do: Knowing what the root of a word is really helpful in us understanding what the word means. Therefore try and look up the etymology of words… Simply Google ‘Etymology of…’ and add your word. Google will provide a graphic like this. This website contains links to some really good websites which can also really help. Or, try these kind of activities created by innovative @Clo_Teach Download the resource by @Clo_teach here—> Word web MASTER v2. We used these as a Do Now Activity for a series of lessons for students to explore how many words contain key root words. Variations: Download this ready to use display by Science teacher Ellie Russell @EllieERussell back in 2018!
