Racism in Schools – How to take actions
As the UK is currently gripped with Far Right, extremist, Islamophobic/Muslim Hate riots thinly veiled in an attempt to blame immigration for the awful deaths of 3 children in Southport we have started to take action.
A thread of some of the significant, racist incidents that took place during the riots
Education is the way forward; with the number of children seen involved in these riots and looting, we as educators have a responsibility; WHICH IS NOT TO SAY ITS DOWN TO US EXCLUSIVELY to deal with this National problem and that we have already tried this through Citizenship, PSHE, RE etc.
It is simply to say, if we did it this way before; why not try another way if it wasn’t very effective?
